Inside Look At Honda Race Series After 10 Years In The Business
As part of the Honda F4SA’s tenth year anniversary celebrations, the series have enlisted the help of TV Yachts, the first dedicated television channel to showcase the world’s finest sailing and motorised yachts to be the official broadcast partner for the fourth leg of the 2009 Honda race calendar. The company will partner with Predator Technology to capture on-board footage during the race, to film the event.
TV Yachts’ filming schedule will include a behind the scenes look at the legendary Honda backed race series, with the arrival of competitors and their teams, the complete build-up of the race and interviews with the organisers, racers and F4SA Director eight time Class One offshore powerboat racing World Champion, Steve Curtis MBE, about his plans for 2010.
This ensures TV Yachts, apart from the event itself, is the only place to catch all of the action; and in addition to this, as a celebration of the tenth anniversary of The Honda Formula 4-Stroke Powerboat Series and to mark the occasion, TV Yachts will also be using all footage to create a special, tenth anniversary DVD.
The entire event can be seen on TV Yachts, which, is broadcast on the Global Digital Broadcast (GDBTV) platform and is available online around the world, via the TVYachts.com website and GDBTV’s Go UK TV portal; and on television sets via the IPQube service in Canada, the Something TV service in UK and via the VuNow service upon launch into the UK, in September.

Honda Formula 4-Stroke Association:
The Honda Formula 4-Stroke Powerboat Series is the largest offshore powerboat Championship in the world. With the help of eight-time Class 1 World Powerboat Champion, Steve Curtis, MBE, Honda launched the Series in 1999 in order to prove the performance of their then newly launched BF130 4-stroke outboard.
Since its creation ten years ago, F4SA has fundamentally changed powerboat racing in the UK. Its rapid development has seen it grow from just four teams competing in a single 130hp class in 1999, to some 20 teams competing in two classes in 2009.
